Without even thinking Amy lunges at the KILLER and they both fall down the stairs together in a heap. The KILLER is momentarily stunned.
Amy: (to Jenn) Come on!
Jenn limps down the stairs and grabs Amy on the way by. Just before they are clear, the KILLER lashes out with a knife and stabs Amy in the back of the leg. Amy drops like a stone. Before the KILLER can gain his feet, Jenn grabs the KILLER’s machete off the floor and brings it down on his neck. He falls back down, his head only attached to his body by a sinewy thread.
Jenn calls 911 and then goes to Amy who is now lying in a pool of her own blood. She cradles her friend in her arms and waits for help to arrive. The paramedics arrive quickly, but unfortunately not in time to save her.
